SMART Criteria for LENR+

MOTTO

"If you cannot measure it, you cannot manage it." (Peter Drucker)

Or improve it. However, the reverse is also true, we have learned it:

"If you are not able to manage it, you cannot do valid measurements. "
(LENRGEIST)

I spoke yesterday about a conspiracy against LENR+- this is my vision of it, however other people, ill-willed but also good-willed firmly convinced that LENR= simply does NOT exist. It is a broad group of people with LENR+ killing agenda from paid killers to idealistic science loving saints, wanting justice.
In principle, the strategy is simple mmeasurements is the soft belly of LENR+ , predators try to bite it, causing a deadly wound. That is find a FATAL ERROR in some basic study supporting LENR+, then trigger a rapid domino effect till the entire building crashes and is destroyed.
Say Lugano optical calorimetry was such an error, then attack Parkhomov because his thermometry contradicts his calorimetry (here I strongly disagree, thermometry is not relevant in that case). Having a hypertrofic ability for empathy I am able to see the inherent difficulties of such an action- it is black/white, yes/no,,Cesar aut nihil,  dualistic thinking- it is easy to find an error, but not to show it is "fatal" (no effect, no excess heat at all)
And too many not correlated results have to be "datacided". In some cases, the complicity of the victims can help.

Thinking about data...they are the foundation of the DIKW (data-information-knowledge- wisdom) scale necessary for the LENR+ era. This is not possible with a swarm of data. Then I remembered W. Edwards Deming's saying: "In God we trust, all the other should come with data.
I have told any times that I think that management science is the basis of the realistic, materialistic and pragmatic philosophy of present. See  the Motto and the counter-Motto  We have to be SMART- and we can become smarter applying the SMART criteria of Peter Drucker
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMART_criteria    adapted for this Cse.

LENR+ studies, publications, presentations- must be:

Specific- based on much better understanding of what happnes;
Measurable- and well measurable, just now it sounds like a life or death problem;
Actionable- we need viable processes, with healthy development abilities
Relevant- size matters first, high power, high energy, highly positive socil effects
Time framed- that is will be implemented industrially  in my life-time

And I cannot promise anything- so please start those Parkhomov replications fast, smartly on great scale!

Alumina emissivity and the Lugano E-Cat test:
http://www.e-catworld.com/2015/03/08/alumina-emissivity-and-the-lugano-e-cat-test-bob-higgins/
Possibly the Professors had their own emissivity. kind of doped alumina.
Hör du mig? Mi senti?

Rossi does not want to participate in this discussion- that actually has two aspects- the heat measurement and the sample with the isotopic shifts. If there are real isotopic shifts, then the excess heat is real- this is the fatal error of the fatalerrorists. Or...?

Dear Prof. Bert Abbing:
I think you are right, but I prefer not to participate to this discussion, because the measurements of the Lugano Test have been designed and made by the Independent Third Party. I was away for most of the time and I never participated to the measurements. I did not participate at all to the work of analysis, evaluations, discussions about the measurements that the Professors of the ITP made after the test in Lugano and before the publication. As a consequence of these facts, I do not think it is proper for me to participate to this discussion.
Thank you for the important attention of yours and your group.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

Marco Serra:
Parkhomov has replicated the so called Rossi Effect with remarkable skill, using the information contained in the Lugano Report and in the literature. Obviously a totally different thing is to make an industrial product, I mean a product that works reliably and without interruptions, with stability, to produce energy. For that things are quite different.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

  1. Peter, you claim that thermometry is irrelevant. That is, in fact, how Parkhomov treats his experiments, it's the fatal flaw. What he has done is to claim massive excess heat, based on water evaporation, when his temperature measurements, the most complete ones reported, show no rise in temperature from all this alleged heat (which would not be some small rise, it would be huge). As with Lugano, lack of calibration allows even massive errors to hide.

Now that Rossi knows Parkhomov has nothing, he will, of course, claim that he's been replicated. That's perfect for his purposes. So would-be imitators may waste years of effort.

Rossi knew that the Lugano temperature was way off. He has a thermocouple in the device! He simply let them make idiots out of themselves, because it serves his purposes.

People read what I write about this and think I am accusing Rossi of being a con man. No, Rossi, as far as I know, is doing nothing illegal. He's a master of what he does, brilliant. Many people have thought he was crazy, his business plan was all wonky. He should do this and he should do that, and, Peter, you have all kinds of ideas of what he should do, that make no sense if he is what he appears to be, an inventor and businessman.

From what I've observed about Rossi, since 2011, nothing he says can be trusted. That, by the way, does not mean that he is lying. It means that providing full information that is not misleading is not what drives him. He doesn't care what you think! Nor should he.

    1. Dear Abd,

Re tempearture we cannot agree but this is no reason of enmity
Can you explain how could he find so much excess heat measured via evaporated water? actually what should he do? He has lots of calibration with inactive reactors I hope Parkhomov will come with results satisfactory even for yiou.
Please support my Wireless Hotcat initiative. Thank you!

  2. Another point. What developed recently was an impeachment of the Lugano temperature measurement. That did not show that there was no excess heat. Rather, it showed that the specific estimates by the Lugano collaborators were drastically off. So there is not necessarily any contradiction between this finding and the alleged isotopic shifts.

Missing in much of the analysis is that this is an anecdote. From a single test, people are attempting to draw firm conclusions. You are certainly doing that, Peter. There are problems with the analysis as well. But you want answers *now*, you have a personal attachment. My suggestion is to deepen your trust in reality, you seem to have developed an idea that something is wrong with reality. It's not good enough or something. And not quick enough for you.
