JAN 6, 2016 THE HIDDEN LENR AGENDA OF THE EGO OUT BLOG

DAILY NOTES

 Usually I am writing here mini-, quasi- or pseudo-editorials and till now all were about rxistent things/concepts/ideas or about those I considered worth to be created
i.e. made existent. As it is the ideal LENR documentation-information system, By the way some of my old and new friends have started to help me with this Plan- the  Challenge is really complex and difficult, and as in classic LENR the actionable parameters have not been identified.
Today I make a total exception- see the title- I am intentionally writing about something that never existed and will not exist- NO! my blog EGO OUT has no hidden agenda is completely open and 100% transparent.
However it is a Blog, a personal blog. It is definitely not an Newsletter or an information service, however these functions are included in my activities. When something especially interesting, important or urgent surfaces I am trying to send the information without any delay to my BlogFriends- two LENR Forums ae included there.

 Before EGO OUT- I wrote, for 8.5 years, 437 weekly issues of a weekly newsletter for Web search INFO KAPPA in Romanian - very rich in information, 150-200 links 
arranged on subjects from Science to Cooking  including Technology, Management- I have worked for money at the local leading Internet Service Provider UPC (in the US Liberty Global) Each issue had also an editorial (usually about re-defining a concept), quotations, a short paper about management and a piece of motivational literature- translated in Romanian, mainly but not exclusively from English.. It was distributed each Monday morning to some 7700 subscribers. It was proofread by two ladies in Bucharest.
It was a genuine Newsletter.
It lasted from July 2002 to 14Jan 2011 the very day of the first Rossi experiment at Bologna, a more than significant coincidence.
I was fired mainly because the newsletter was not a good carrier of advertisments; horoscopes have attracted more the 10,000 ads per day. Plus there came some new young managers and they considered that their raison d'etre is making Changes- visible changes; what changes exactly is not relevant.The old nasty story . Being retired, old and not qualified in IT I have not protested despite some prizes won by my newsletter and have decided to convert a bad situation in a very good one.

OK, besides this job during this period I was active and present in CMNS, trying very hard to be well informed and to learn- first of all from Francesco Piantelli, but from other LENR friends too.

Preparing for my jobless state and becoming financially independent in the local sense- I have converted my personal diary- in a personal blog (start day December 10, 2010) 
It is a very personal blog- see please EGO OUT definition. It is about my life experience and it is my "life organizer", it is about what I am learning
On the blog I wrote a lot about Cold Fusion, LENR but also have translated my philosophical- managerial- professional ideas in English. I wanted to be well informed about everything LENR and about its connection context so slowly the blog became focused on daily information about the LENR world. My "competitive" advantages are : I am an 89er cold fusioneer, have lots of friends who inform and advise and help me, I am an expert web searcher, I am reading well in Russian, German, French, Italian.I have lots of time. I ma extremely stubborn and I owe more to my good memory (now in slow decay) than to any other intellectual quality, my curiosity is still insatiable.
 Tons of drawbacks too; I see very badly, I have developed my personal LENR thinking, philosophy, opinions that are or seem quite heretic and non-conformist

Ergo, EGO OUT has now two main missions:
- to give good LENR information to the readers, as fast as possible;
- to promote my personal LENR ideas,
In the present format, in the DAILY NOTES I tell what I think i have to tell, what I believe about what happens in the field, my initiatives- my very open LENR agenda. A lot of people dislike strongly my ideas- I am trying to improve and develop them.
I have the privilege to discuss with great LENR personalities many times in
their languages 
Nobody dares to agree openly with my basic historical vision- it was a misfortune that LENR was discovered in an improper system. It was a misfortune again that CF has progressed due to better measurement and not to intensification of heat release, NiH was ignored in favor of PdD, Pianteli was marginalized.  I strongly disagree with Ed Storms' present nanocrack-hydroton theory. LENR can be solved first  technologically and only later theoretically...
So I have a lot to say in each issue. I am not desperate it if it happens that there are no news, events, whatever.

JUST NOW I am receiving comments and messages re my idea of an "ideal" documentation system and database. I think we need these in order to solve the plethora of problems of the field.

JAN 5, 2016 THINKING ABOUT THE IDEAL INFO SYSTEM

 We have LENR forums  and networks with a few happy exceptions of working together) 
EGO OUT is still more a network, I have not received  a single suggestion regarding
how to build the ideal information system. OK. now we still can manage 5-10 papers and patents per day (today less) and we can afford to NOT fully use the formidable potential of the Internet, computing, visual methods, advanced databases and a missing total bibliography- with a rational classification. No "taxonomy- mon amour" yet. But we have to prepare for a fast, explosive future. Managerial leadership of a 
Vulnerable-Uncertain-Complex and Ambiguous system is dysfunctional
I ma studying mind mapping and other methods by which each paper is linked to a dot on a map- and is placed at the proper place territory, with the natural borders and neighbor areas, both similarities and specificity are respected. We will have
LENR maps for the optimal systematization of the information  published, grey literature and non-published, continuously up-dated by the well paid, motivated and dedicate specialists coordinated.

 I will abstain from annoying you with the old story of my PVC years (1966-1979) when I have built a quasi-perfect documentation system- it was before the Internet Era and it is not more relevant. Sic transit gloria mundi! 


b) BTW- Glory- please take a look to LENR IN CONTEXT-1 You will see that 4 new chemical elements have been officially included in the Periodic Table and the battle to give them names of great scientists have started. History of Science.can be dreadfully unfair sometimes. So unfortunately we will have no Fleischmannium  and no Ponsium this time because our Founders were unlucky and have discovered a fragile form of Cold Fusion in a place hostile to LENR.
In retrospective, years from now, you will realize that Piantellium could have been a honest choice.

 And a bet- IF in the 350 days experiment, the daily COP value  will be over 10 for more than 80% of the time than, the coming generation, will know about a new chemical element named Andrearossium.

 Introduction.
In reality, life is more difficult than in our childhood dreams. therefore my plans -as Raul Fibiego- (see please the former issue) to solve all the fundamental problems of Physics, Biology and Psychology have shrunk to the desire to have a  a modest but energetic contribution to the launching of LENR in a normal, that is,  exponential & epidemic process of technological-scientific and, also, scientific-technological development.
As you know, I consider that the Start of this development needs new ideas, a Leader and Funds- the Montecuccoli stuff.
The "competition" being fragmented, disunited, undecided, the EGO OUT blog supports and promotes without shame or restrictions, my own LENR ideas as The Six Pillars of LENR+, the LENR/LENR+ dichotomy etc.
I am convinced thew Field needs a leader, I hope Carl Page will be willing to take this role- now I have here a suggestion that could make his mission more realistic and his work effective and efficient. (By the way a wonderful example is the Booklet: "Learn how Google grew from 40 to 40,000 employees by agile goal setting- the Motto is from this one) I am sharing with the Google founders a passion for fastness -read immediacy- so "agile"  (very frequent on the Fast Company site) makes me simply enthusiastic.

 How I got the idea.

 This morning during my standard search action- at Cobraf.it- forum where you can sometimes find excellent information less accessible by other ways (thanks to Alain Coetmeur) for finding out this first) I came upon the paper- included at 6) to news.
I knew - it is not a new paper (it appeared in my blog at July 14, 2015- in time) > But 
what has our community DONE with this publication - about a Hot, dry PdD system?
My opinion is that the classic wet, cool PdD system has already played its historical role- The Moor has done his duty. The Moor can go- but we have ignored hot PdD -
till now I could not get for example Kirkinskii's three papers from the Russian CNTBL
Conference No 22 till now. I asked myself - where can we find very fast- everything
about this  system, up-to-date, reviewed? Obviously the wonderful library of the LENR field LENR-CANR.ORG is a good start but not a perfect one. 
We do not need a library, we need an information map. A huge work- very soon the LENR -and LENR+ literature will proliferate.
This will lead to the necessity to find a new method of storage and access to the literature- in my imagination a geographic method. With maps.
And to a bicephal leadership- the great leader for strategy and tactics snd the second leader of information, knowledge and wisdom.

 I am not able to finish this presentation now- after more than 4 hours of work this morning I lost the information of my blog entirely and could not recover it (occult things happen with Blogger) 
I apologize but also try to scipiologize  (see please Scipiology on the Web) the situation asking you for help- HOW WOULD BE AN "IDEAL" LENR INFORMATION SYSTEM LIKE? Please think in perspective, but based on your everyday troubles.

I encourage you to do further research in this area. Many experiments, worldwide, have confirmed some form of “cold fusion,” now known as LENR (for low-energy nuclear reactions).
Cold fusion was not a hoax, just tricky to replicate. Although there still exists no comprehensive theory for LENR, it works regardless, just as fire did before chemistry explained it.

The results indicated that when the pressure of deuterium is at 9 × 104 Pa, electric current is 8 A and lasting heat is 40 days, the superheating energy is 280 MJ, the maximum superheating power is 80 W and averaging to each palladium atom energy for the superheating energy is 1.7 × 104eV. Analysis of the sample by SEM (scanning electron microscopy) and EDS (energy dispersive spectrometry) found that after the current triggering the surface of sample was changed and new elements such as Pb, Sn, Ca, and Ag appeared. The results suggested that the superheating appeared come from a nuclear transmutation.

It is weekend and vacation-end for many of us, I am not expecting many relevant messages or LENR papers, news  but you never know there are still 7 hours till I will publish this daily issue and the Edge essays are read with the hope that intelligence is contagious.

 The Edge answers show how much sciences have progressed during the last 50-60 years. Reading them I remembered my first meetings with science and my initial scientific ideas.
You know I grew up in interesting times and in a rather hostile world- the ghost of Stalinism was very persistent, but the cult of Science, the trust in atomic energy was unstoppable. Being a maximalist I have imagined a kind of model alter ego of myself
who is just solving all the important scientific and technical problems of the world.
His name was RAUL FIBIEGO- the family name comes from combining Fisics, Biology and Egology- sciences of matter, life and thinking (conscience)
Egology- anticipating EGO OUT - was a form of resistance against the collectivist
group thinking ideology of the regime. To be an individualist was then a sin.The name was Spanish- before 1957 the dominant Soviet movies were just propaganda
and we had access only to few Latin language movies Italian French, Spanish-
I remember the name of Juan Antonio Bardem. And we tried to learn those languages.
Today I see what became Physics, Biology, Psychology- what wonderful development took place (add i.a. Computer science to them, Fibiego had no idea it will come and change our lives in so many ways).

 I have read many essays- answers however I have decide to chose only one and comment about it- obviously- in some connection with LENR.

JAN 2, 2016 LENR MESSAGE AND INFO, SECOND EDITION

The community of those people who WANT to make LENR a source of energy, considerably smaller than what could be called The LENR Community- needs a leader- able to make plans. Good plans, imperative and inquisitive, living plans
able to grow, to develop to reinforce, carrying the correct answer to the fundamental question "To be , or not to be?" Become!

DAILY NOTES

 In a short Open Letter formulated in extreme haste  I have asked entrepreneur 
Carl Victor Page, answering to the yearly question of EDGE.org said good things about LENR- a proof of his courage, social responsibility and wisdom, I think- if he can imagine to become the leader of the LENR movement? 
He does not need to be a great scientist, LENR owns some of the smartest scientists world wide, just due to unfortunate historical circumstances they are not searching what, where, how and why LENR is. Still not  searching for the real identity, in the best place, with effective methods, guided by the reality of LENR.
I have read Carl's EDGE answer-it is an impressively intelligent and documented LENR document- not LENR+ and only LENR+ leads to usable energy.
Victory is a pragmatic problem- not so much a scientific problem. However after making the correct change, choice, science at its best and technology at its peak levels will accomplish the Task.
I regret that I don't know Carl- I could not go to ICCF-19 where he was present.  
May I ask a mutual friend, perhaps you dear S.H.?  to convey him my messages?

 Like in a vacuum tube, a grid can pick up charged particles like the muons and electrons electrons if the EMF is electrostatic. A coil is for magnetic EMF collection.

If the X cat operates like a vacuum tube, it may be possible to control what it does by applying voltage to various control grids. Heat vs, electricity and voltage vs. current could be controlled by a associated control grid. This tells us something about how the LENR reaction works. If a voltage on a control grid pulls out EMF from the core, the electric output goes up and the heat goes down. If a grid restricts the current, then the voltage goes up. 

The charged particle that might be effected that is active in the LENR reaction might be muons. Pulling muons out of the core may slow down the reaction and keeping them inside the core may speed up the reaction.

If I were Rossi, I would look for muon emissions coming out of his reactor.

A windowless supersonic gas jet target (SUGAR) has been put in operation recently in Mexico. It is the first target of its kind in the country and the region. New research opportunities become available with this facility through the study of the direct beam-gas interaction: nuclear physics and astrophysics, atomic physics, interaction of radiation with matter and other interdisciplinary applications. A general description of the apparatus and its commissioning is given here. Air, nitrogen and argon jets were produced. Proton and deuteron beams were used to measure key parameters of the system to compare with theoretical estimates. In addition, as a first study case, we present data from the 14Nðd; αÞ12C reaction, at center of mass energies between 1.9 and 3.0 MeV with an E-ΔE telescope detector at 35°. Excitation functions for several excited states were constructed and an 16O resonance at 22.72 MeV was confirmed.

JAN 01, 2016 AMBITIONS OF ROSSI THE LENR REFORMER

DAILY NOTES

 I have developed rather effective methods to catch flying bricks or stones thrown toward me- or to protect myself from these- so I will write positively about Andrea Rossi's revelation dream and will join those who are wishing happy i.e. creative New Year to the inventor of LENR+.
Recently Rossi has said he wants to start a a commercial and industrial revolution in energetics- now we can see that his dream is much more about his ambitions, not about the structure and functionality of the E-Cat X. What he says about the wafer can be true- but how relevant it is technologically? If you want an answer please read the hundreds of comments  at the LENR forums and discussion groups.
I think it is a beautiful dream, Rossi's ambitions are humanly and scientifically good.
It is not important that I would imagine a very different energetic infrastructure, less modular and with no underground pipes.

 Can you imagine- Rossi has not appeared 5 years minus two weeks ago- what could  LENR faithful discuss today? What would we expect from a Rossi-less 2016?
Some scientific method purists - in part also PdD fans say Rossi has perturbed a healthy, scientifically correct process- LENR science at its best. Has he taken some funds or other means from hard-core LENR-ists? How much harm has he done to our (Cold Fusion, LENR) good reputation and popularity? He was an outsider who came with a very surprising idea and solution and is developing it in the spirit of the second Motto.
The dream was about the ambitions of Rossi the Reformer of LENR. Let's hope he will dream next time about his creature called E-Cat X- meowing flames and electricity

1) Rossi's revelation is this:

It’s 00.00.01″ of January 1st 2016.
Update: the 1 MW E-Cat is stable and in ssm, the E-Cat X is very promising and still operating and making heat, electricity.
The E-Cat X is very close to the design of the core of the apparatus described in the US Patent, I mean the wafer. It has been engineered to resist to very high temperatures. The electricity exits directly from the wafer.
As I said , several nights ago I had a dream. The E-Cat X had been produced in billions pieces, each of them assembled with others in various combinations to make public lamps: a town was totally illuminated by the E-Cat X and from every lamp a network of pipes and of wires was able to distribute heat and electricity to the houses.
In that town there were about 1 million lamps each of them of 500 watts, consuming about 50 watts; consequently, there were 450 MWh/h produced, of which about half were turned into heat distributed to the houses through a network of well insulated pipes, running underground, like optic fibers, the other half was used to enlight the town and to distribute electricity to the households. The cost of the E-Cat X was around 50 $/kW of power, due to the production of billions of pieces per year in all the world, with tens of thousands of jobs. Less taxes were paid by the people, due to the saves derived from low pollution and low energy cost for public services. Millions of persons were also earning money selling E-Cats and every owner of E-Cats was saving money in utilities ( electricity, heat, light).
Then I heard the alarm clock: it was time to return to the factory, to make true the dream. F9.

 Speculation on how the E-Cat X works.

The E-Cat-X might works as a Hot cathode. Photons produce hot electrons on the surface of the alumina that are emitted from the surface. If a anode is placed on the outside of the cathode to capture the emitted electrons, then this will setup a current flow between the alumina and the wire grid acting as a anode that surrounds the alumina.

Alumina is a well known thermionic emitter.

The steel clad core must produce particle emissions (meson) that set up a LENR reaction in the alumina where the alumina gets hotter than the core. Rossi may have seen the heater wire shadow in the Lugano test which shows that the alumina was hotter than the heater wire which means that the alumina is the site where the LENR reaction is taking place.

Why would Rossi keep people away from his E-Cat-X? IF someone saw a wire grid surrounding the alumina shell, it is easy to deduce how the E-Cat-X is producing electricity.

Rossi may have placed the E-Cat-X is a vacuum to optimize electron flow between the cathode(alumina) and the anode (Wire grid or plate).
