I really feel how LENR makes my susnset brighter, brings surprise, discovery, joy and sadness in my life, determaines my default reactions, becomes part of my identity. It is interesting, sometimes even captivating. As today.


Alexander Parkhomov is admirably modest as person, but  as all great researchers he is an 'eagle does not catch flies' fighter,
What does he plan and work on? "We are working on creating a device that is capable of running continuously without external energy. It is complex problem. It is difficult to predict how much time it will require for its solution."

At the Sochi All Russian "ICCF 19.5" Congress he will report about analyses of fuel ash from his reactors.

Role of the binding energy of electron of the hydrogen atom in Ni-H cold fusion

During Ni-H collisions, proton (of the hydrogen atom) combines with the Nickel nucleus and electron (of the hydrogen atom) combines with the Nickel electronic shell and forms Copper with no emission of alpha or beta or gamma rays.
or mole number of such Ni-H atomic fusions, as hydrogen atom is losing its identity, binding energy of electron is converted into heat energy of ~1.3×106 joules.
As the temperature of the system increases, more number of hydrogen atoms may fuse with more number of Nickel atoms liberating more heat energy.
Selection of the target cold fusion atom seems to follow the condition: selected stable atom’s Z+1 is a new stable element with odd atomic number.
Fineness of the Ni powder may help H atoms to fuse with ease causing more number of Ni-H fusions.

3) Abnormal heat liberation triggered by current in a D/Pd gas-solid system

A relationship was studied among D/Pd gas-solid system current, pressure and producing excess heating in this paper. The results indicated that when the pressure of deuterium is at 9 × 104 Pa, electric current is 8 A and lasting heat is 40 days, the superheating energy is 280 MJ, the maximum superheating power is 80 W and averaging to each palladium atom energy for the superheating energy is 1.7 × 104eV. Analysis of the sample by SEM (scanning electron microscopy) and EDS (energy dispersive spectrometry) found that after the current triggering the surface of sample was changed and new elements such as Pb, Sn, Ca, and Ag appeared. The results suggested that the superheating appeared come from a nuclear transmutation.

4) Being given that all the transition metals seem to be able to show LENR, and probaly also LENR+ effects itt is predictable that the Super-Hot Cats, massively used after 2027  will be based on tungsten as fuel.  Then the following paper will be remembered:

[Although hydrogen retention in defect free tungsten is low it can be significantly altered by plasma wetting. Thus understanding the interaction and dynamics of hydrogen in tungsten becomes an important issue. Present understanding distinguishes between solute and trapped hydrogen inventory. The solute hydrogen is located in the tetrahedral interstitial sites of bbc tungsten and can diffuse rapidly due to the low activation energy of 0.2-0.4 eV. The trapped hydrogen inventory resides at defects like vacancies, grain boundaries or dislocations, with de-trapping energies between 0.8-2.0 eV and is therefore less mobile. Common ex-situ experiments only allow the investigation of hydrogen retained in traps, while the solute is out of experimental reach due to its fast out-gassing at ambient temperatures. In this study the dynamics of the solute hydrogen in tungsten is measured in-situ for the first time. Diffusion/trapping simulations reveal that for low temperature e.g. 200 K, the solute hydrogen dominates the total inventory and its out-gassing after implantation is slowed down to the timescale of hours. Therefore in-situ hydrogen implantation and nuclear reaction analysis of tungsten samples are conducted at temperatures down to 140 K investigating experimentally the dynamics of solute hydrogen.

5) Measurement of neutrino flux from the primary proton–proton fusion process in the Sun with Borexino detector.

Neutrino produced in a chain of nuclear reactions in the Sun starting from the fusion of two protons, for the first time has been detected in a realtime detector in spectrometric mode. The unique properties of the Borexino detector provided an oppurtunity to disentangle pp-neutrino spectrum from the background components. A comparison of the total neutrino flux from the Sun with Solar luminosity in photons provides a test of the stability of the Sun on the 105 years time scale, and sets a strong limit on the power production in the unknown energy sources in the Sun of no more than 4% of the total energy production at 90% C.L.

With the aim of achieving of a long run, me356 is taking the SiC heater element route, making a cell somewhere between a "Bang!" and a miniaturised Parkhomov/Goldwater free air *GlowStick* set-up.
The experiment will try to achieve rapid rise rate voltage pulses, inspired by the famous "Vessy" image of Rossi with hot-cats where there is the chopped AC on the table in the foreground and by the SongSheng Jiang's experiment with periodic instant on delta DC.
He says "This can be achieved easily with DC + IGBT [insulated gate bipolar transistor] circuit and PWM [pulse width modulation]."
One wonders how that will work with a SiC element.
Drawing again from Alan Goldwater, a big new addition will be a pressure sensor, to give us pressure data along with all the other data - but this will take several weeks to arrive.
He will be able to run full Parkhomov fuel.


SPPs as Black Holes ( a Vortex thread started)

The "Dark Mode" SPP soliton that produces the power involved in E-Cat LENR is really a rotating Black Hole for light. This is a real black hole including the Hawking radiation mechanism that radiates ½ of the vacuum energy extracted from virtual photons to the far field and absorbs the other ½ fraction of the vacuum energy to amplify and add to the energy contained in the soliton. Once light enters the soliton, it does not come out. The beam that projects out of the soliton is amplified by a process called Penrose Superradiance. These light based solitons have be generated using lasers (see the video). Waves of Hawking radiation have also been observed.

  1. I am wondering where are the hot cold fusion experiments that make use of Palladium powder plus LiD. Palladium has a higher melting point than Ni and far greater affinity for hydrogen isotopes. The extra cost of using Pd instead of Ni and D instead of H in bench top Hot-Cat experiments is negligible. Mono-isotopic D is commonly available while mono-isotopic H is very rare. Of course one obvious additional tweak might be to use 6Li instead of common Li. Given the well established utility of 6Li in fusion that path might lead to interesting results.
