The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome.
I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea.
And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, its just wonderful.
And the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned. (Douglas Adams)
Unfortunately - for himself and for us all, the genius who wrote this has died at age of 49 years, taking a lot of his Ego out.
What he describes here is actually the rich mode of thinking and understanding the world; it can be learned in the best, fastest, deepest mode based on Biology. However because Nature's defining ambition is to be interesting, you will discover the same performances of complexity,
diversity and dynamicity (existence is nonexistence in movement), of slow changes, incremental but also sudden and profound metamorphosis.
I have concluded that these truths are valid for LENR too, and especially for its advance form LENR+ resulting from such metamorphoses.
Let's re-discuss this after the successful experiments of Parkhomov replications.

BRADENTON, Fla., Jan. 6, 2014 -- It appears that a cold fusion project coveted by the Defense Dept. will instead go to the Chinese, who announced last week that they are creating an industrial park where the so-called Energy Catalyzer, or E-Cat, a nickel-hydrogen (NiH) reactor invented by Miami-based engineer Andrea Rossi, will be built.
The Sino-US Science and Technology Innovation Park will be located in the city of Baoding, in Hebei province in eastern China. According to a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report, "....LENR power sources could produce the greatest transformation of the battlefield for U.S. forces since the transition from horsepower to gasoline power.” LENR stands for Low Energy Nuclear Reactions, a form of the once-discredited "cold fusion" process stifled by academics in 1989 and subsequently, but avidly followed by US Navy and other military research programs.
The DIA report says a true LENR device would have huge implicatyions for the world.
"If nuclear reactions in LENR experiments are real and controllable,," the agency said, "DIA assesses that whoever produces the first commercialized LENR power source could revolutionize energy production and storage for the future.
"The potential applications of this phenomenon, if commercialized, are unlimited. The anomalous LENR effects seen in these metal lattices containing deuterium may also have as-yet undetermined nanotechnology implications," the DIA report continues.
"LENR could serve as a power source for batteries that could last for decades, providing power for electricity, sensors, military operations, and other applications in remote areas, including space," the report says.
"LENR could also have medical applications for disease treatment, pacemakers, or other equipment. Because nuclear fusion releases 10 million times more energy per unit mass than does liquid transportation fuel, the military potential of such high-energy-density power sources is enormous.
"And since the U.S. military is the largest user of liquid fuel for transportation, LENR power sources could produce the greatest transformation of the battlefield for U.S. forces since the transition from horsepower to gasoline power," the DIA concluded.
The 1-million watt (1mW)) devices, which sell for $1.5 million, generate as much as six times as much energy required to start them, and then consume no externally-generated energy at all. LENR-generated energy is non-radioactive, non-polluting and cheap to refuel with an inexpensive proprietary catalyst.
An article in the Chinese-language sina.com website added, "The signing of the Sino-US Science and Technology Innovation Park project located in Baoding, in bringing new CODA electric car project, while the nickel reactor new energy projects, new projects fireproof materials, will greatly promote local technological and economic development.”
The new industrial park is modeled on North Carolina's Research Triangle Park. The "new energy nickel reactor project" cited is believed to be a reference the E-Cat manufacturing plan.
That plan is reportedly backed by North-Carolina-based Industrial Heat, Inc., a subsidiary of Cherokee Investment Partners LLC, whose CEO Tom Darden attended the announcement ceremony with a host of other Chinese dignitaries.
According to news reports, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang signed off on the project at a meeting of a state committee on business just a few weeks ago.
The American entities and Rossi have refused to comment on E-Cat commercial partnerships

Deep-ocean microbe is closest living relative of complex cells
Researchers have debated whether eukaryotes—the group of relatively complex organisms that includes fungi, plants, and animals—are descendants of archaea or merely their close relatives. Newly discovered archaea from the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean suggest that eukaryotes evolved from archaea. A genomic analysis of one of the organisms, called Loki, reveals that it is the most eukaryotelike prokaryote so far discovered. The study suggests that the ancestor of eukaroytes might have had an actin cytoskeleton and rudimentary internal structures composed of membranes.
