OCT 13 2015: LENR HISTORY: THE CAT IN THE CRADLE, THE E-CATS OUTSIDE

MOTTO

LENR will be dynamic or it will not be.

(Peter Gluck, clumsily paraphrasing Andre Malraux)

DAILY NOTES

Stay in your cradle and behave yourself, cat!

The first born cat obeys this order and looks like a poor bonsai cat, the greater E-Cats are not prisoners of the cradle and are growing.

The "cradle" is a triple metaphor in LENR-

- it is the Fleischmann Pons Cell- PdD wet, cool electrolytic;
- it is also the good old theoretical paradigm of nuclear physics- an ultimate truth, knowledge  stops here
- third, it is the absolutely correct  idea of the Scientific Method- that science comes first- we have to understand LENR scientifically well and only after having a solid validated theory may we proceed to convert LENR in technology- this is compulsory LENR Tao.
It is also the natural way, Nature has no problems only solutions and time is its infinite resource. However there is also a Human way we have very limited time and we cannot afford to solve the LENR problem in six-seven generations. We must go faster and use shortcuts.
Understanding and applications will develop in parallel and intertwined. Engineering is the key.

Tomorrow it's a great day for the LENR Cat that still stays in the cradle

Dear colleagues, please what will we learn here? What problems will be solved? I am old
but still not rigid, I can feel deep empathy for the very poor people (see the Nobels Prize for Economics to better define them) however I also feel empathy for and solidarity with a billionaire who wants to see a commercial LENR device still in his lifetime; I want too, even if now I can invest only electronic ink in it.

OTHER
From now on EGO OUT will define a successful Parkhomov replication as one  in which COP>2 and is obtained at temperatures> 1100C

Juan Huxley:
The E-Cat will be manufactured in the USA and in Europe and will be distributed in all the world, if the tests on course will give, as you say, positive results, which still we do not know.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

What is quantum in quantum thermodynamics?

A new study shows that overunity is a quantum effect that is based on coherence and entanglement.

Quote:

"One important implication of the new results is that quantum effects may significantly increase the performance of engines at the quantum level. While the current work deals with single-particle engines, the researchers expect that quantum effects may also emerge in multi-particle engines, where quantum entanglement between particles may play a role similar to that of coherence."

  1. Peter, to your definition of successful Parkhomov I would add calibrated. When Alan Goldwater calibrated he found zero excess heat. Though without calibration it appeared to be excess heat but was instead difference in behavior of two thermocouples.

Do we have ANY successful Parkhimov type experiments?

    1. Good calibration is compulsory
Two Moscow groups have done good replications. If you remeber fI am asking for an wireless heating experiment- with molten tin, I alos have told taht the reactors have to be built rigid, closed with no moving parts.

  2. Please lay off the PdD bashing. You're beginning to remind me of Steve Krivit. The problem in LENR is not and never has been PdD, it is the political assassination of any research into LENR by the physics community. Stick to reporting of results (which you do well), and leave the philosophizing to Steve Krivit (or Mary Yugo).
